Illuminate the customer from the front and from above to reduce unflattering shadowing and help the customer feel confident about wearing the garment.
The brightness of the front-on lighting must be stronger than from above to fill in the shadows caused by the overhead light.
Remember, if the lighting is only from above or if the overhead lighting is brighter than the front lighting, shadows will form underneath the customer’s horizontal features such as the chin, nose, breasts and stomach, creating an unflattering image.
