Aglo Systems supplied a combination of their LED light fittings and lighting design services to a leading Australian retail chain specialising in women’s fashion. Dotti, the fashion store chain owned by the Just Group has installed premium LED light fittings supplied by Aglo.
Aglo was engaged by Just Group to supply LED light fittings and lighting designs for more than 50 retail stores over the past two years. The Eastland Shopping Centre featured here is one of three Dotti stores completed during this time.
The primary objective for Aglo’s Lighting Design team was to ensure all areas of the store were evenly illuminated while achieving specific lux level requirements provided by Just Group’s design brief.
The display window in the store meets the required lux level of 2200lx, and so does the sales counter with 1000lx. All premium LED fittings installed at the site have a colour temperature of 3500k for a warm ambience, and a high CRI 90, allowing true colour accuracy of the garments.
A highlight of the store’s interior design is a unique structured ceiling feature that runs the length of the shop. A white power track was used with Aglo’s spotlight fittings Wally and Cast. Scalloping along the wall bays was avoided with the use of rectangular spotlights and round spotlights, creating an evenly illuminated wall from ceiling to floor. The entrance of the store features 3800lm Polar downlights to meet the required lux level of 1400lx.
The downlights in the fitting rooms of the fashion store were accompanied by Stealth-4 corner extrusions featuring an LED strip within to provide illumination from behind the mirrors. The extrusion lighting ensures any unflattering shadows from the overhead light are filled in, creating a much more pleasant experience for customers trying on garments.
Aglo also supplied Sirius LED battens for the back of house area and the illuminated emergency signage.
