Allplastics Engineering presents a new range of transparent, acoustically effective ceiling panels designed to meet the needs of contemporary architecture.
Modern interior design trends are centred on the utilisation of ever larger areas of glass or acrylic. However, newly constructed or refurbished communications areas fail to meet even minimal acoustic requirements necessary for their use. Allplastics believes transparency and good acoustics need not be mutually exclusive in interior design and can be combined to meet both aesthetic and functional objectives.
The AIR-board Acoustic from Allplastics is a range of transparent sandwich panels consisting of micro-perforated translucent outer layers and a transparent honeycomb core to give a high level of sound absorption along with a unique appearance.
Specified for special projects to improve the room acoustic and sound absorption, AIR-board Acoustic panels have been developed in Austria and feature tiny perforations that absorb noise, making them perfect for use as partition panels in noisy areas. AIR-board Acoustic’s unique combination of aesthetically pleasing effects and stunning design creates numerous opportunities for innovative concepts. Being lightweight, the composite panels save money on supporting structures during installation.
AIR-board Acoustic panels are available in a range of different honeycomb core structures, allowing for versatile use as ceiling panels, awnings and wall partitions as well as in design and display applications.
Key features and benefits of AIR-board Acoustic panels include easy installation; excellent light transmission; fire class B1 according to DIN 4102; high sound absorption; lightweight material with minimal requirement for support structures; and unique translucent optic.
AIR-board Acoustic panels are recommended for clubs with noisy areas; concert halls; gymnasiums; workstations; and public venues. The panels are available in a standard size of 2500mm x 1220mm with a 19mm thickness.
