Alspec, Australia’s leading provider of sustainable aluminium products and solutions, has announced its membership to the Australian Aluminium Council, in further recognition of the company’s essential role in helping to create a more intelligent and environment-friendly built environment.
With Australia as the second largest producer of aluminium products and largest producer of raw bauxite in the world, the Council represents the country’s most significant value-adding manufacturing industry through every phase from bauxite exploration, to mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting, aluminium extrusion and downstream distribution.
“We’re looking forward to working closely with the Council and its members to ensure the sustainable production of bauxite, alumina and aluminium and downstream industries. Alspec is committed to zero carbon emissions by 2050 and building a smarter, more sustainable future for Australia," Alspec managing director Paul Nakhele said.
Australian Aluminium Council chief executive officer Margharita Johnson said, “Welcoming a company of Alspec’s stature marks an important milestone for the Council as it seeks to deepen its engagement with the broader aluminium industry to chart the best path forward for a smarter, greener built environment.”
