Tall glazed facades featured on the Eagle Farm Business Park near Brisbane bring natural light to the interior spaces while delivering an ultramodern look on the outside.
Located in Pinkenba, Queensland, the industrial units in the first stage of the new business park designed by McVeigh Architects are setting a high standard for warehousing and storage premises in Brisbane. Featuring distinctive colourful exteriors and available in a choice of layouts and sizes, the units are now ready for a wide range of uses such as warehousing, offices, trade shops, and boat and caravan storage.
Twenty strata units have been completed in the first stage of the business park development with a variety of size and space configurations. Glazing from Alspec plays a significant role in forming the high-ceiling spaces. The customisable units feature 6.2m high bay glass entries or suspended-floor offices, with over 7 metres of internal height available.
Hunter Evo 150mm flush glazed framing was used to construct the large glazed panels featured on the upper levels. Popular for its versatility and flush finish, Hunter Evo framing can span large areas due to its robust construction from exceptionally strong architectural grade aluminium. Developed for commercial uses, it is an exceptionally durable frame, which will cope with weather extremes and provide excellent protection for the stored goods.
Entrances to the premises feature Swan Evo 45mm commercial doors in a hinged configuration. Swan Evo doors have a centre pocket construction, delivering a durable, secure and attractive entrance to the units, while seamlessly integrating with the Hunter Evo fixed framing.
For openable windows across the units and office spaces, View-Max commercial sliding windows were installed. These windows combine a high performance style with thermal and acoustic properties as well as exceptional weather protection. View-Max design features including proprietary locking, roller and drainage systems are unique to Alspec. The versatile windows can be integrated with a range of Alspec frames and accommodate single or double glazing as required.
Alspec products used at the Eagle Farm Business Park include Hunter Evo 150mm single flush glazed framing, View-Max commercial sliding windows, and Swan Evo 45mm commercial shopfront doors.
