Altro Flooring and Walling helped the Royal Voluntary Service create a lunch club at their Hertfordshire branch by supplying the walling and flooring materials.
The Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) helps older people maintain their independence and stay involved in the local community. The organisation wanted to provide a lunch club at the Hertfordshire branch so that older people could enjoy a hot nutritious meal and also socialise with friends at the same time in a community space.
The room allocated for the lunch club had a cracked floor and unpainted walls. Altro donated their floors and walls to transform the room and create a warm and welcoming environment.
Altro Wood Safety Comfort flooring combines a beautiful aesthetic with easy maintenance. At 2.85mm thick, the flooring is ideal for areas that need to look good while helping to give comfort underfoot. It also offers 14dB sound reduction, which is great for noisy environments.
Altro Whiterock White was used on the walls. Altro Whiterock White provides a smooth, easy-to-clean surface that is impact resistant and reduces maintenance costs.
The RVS logo was printed on Altro Whiterock Digiclad for a feature wall in the lunch room. Altro Whiterock Digiclad is created by reproducing a photographic image or vector art onto Altro Whiterock walling, with consistent photographic quality. Hard-coat technology provides scratch-resistant properties for added surface protection, making Altro Whiterock Digiclad ideal for areas where durability is important.
Maria Guilder, Essex & Hertford manager at Royal Voluntary Service said: “Altro was very professional; the floors and walls have a lovely finish and are easy to clean. We are able to run a light lunch club in this room, which we would not have been able to do without Altro’s donation.”
