Avian Shock Track from ANC Bird Control was fitted to the ledging and lintels of the Finger Wharf building in Woolloomooloo, to replace the existing Avispikes. The front façade of Australia’s largest wooden structure was being destroyed by sulphur crested cockatoos and the Avispikes were not providing an effective solution.
Since the installation of the Avian Shock Track, no further damage has been caused by the cockatoos.
Avian Shock Track is a low-profile electrified track that emits an intermittent shock to the birds, teaching them to stay away from the area.
