The Lockwood 404 is the first hydraulic screen door closer specifically designed for the Australian market. First launched in late 2021, the 404 hydraulic closer has been further developed with a design improvement implemented for greater usability.
Suitable for screen doors weighing up to 29kg, Lockwood 404 hydraulic screen door closers combine a smooth operation with a quality feel, making it a truly premium offering to the customer. For an even better user experience, the door closer is simple and intuitive to adjust; once installed, simply rotate the entire tube up or down for faster or slower closing speed. You can do this without any tools.
As a heavy duty screen door closer, the 404 is better suited than traditional pneumatic closers for stainless steel mesh doors, which are heavier than the traditional diamond grille security screen doors. A perfect fit in this growing premium door market, the Lockwood 404 screen door closer handles the added weight of these doors effectively, and also enhances the overall quality feel of the premium door.
Highly adjustable, it can still be used on traditional screen doors, and offers the same advantages. Whilst improving on the closer module itself, Lockwood has maintained all the familiar design features, including the rod retaining clip preventing the closer from dislodging.
