Modular construction company Ausco Modular was instrumental in the execution and completion of the $1.4-million police accommodation project in Bamaga. This small town in Queensland is witnessing a boom in construction with several projects either completed recently or in the process of launching shortly.
According to the Housing and Public Works Minister Mick de Brenni, the police accommodation and social housing projects combined with future maintenance projects will support up to 40 jobs in the town. The police accommodation project executed by Ausco Modular, for instance, created 24 jobs for the local community.
He added that the police accommodation project met a key government objective to support regional and remote communities by increasing workforce participation, stimulating economic growth and delivering new infrastructure.
