Ausco Modular was contracted by Lakeside Lutheran College to provide a fully equipped science laboratory, music block and three private tutorial rooms within a challenging timeframe.
Located in Pakenham, an expanding growth corridor east of Melbourne, the college had more enrolments than its building program could accommodate, which meant it required additional space to conduct specialist studies in science and music.
Having assisted the school previously with the installation of a general learning classroom, Ausco Modular was once again called upon to deliver the facilities with the works program requiring the manufacture and installation to be completed within 12 weeks.
Ausco’s modular building expertise helped deliver two classrooms, a large science facility and three tutorial rooms within this timeframe. Ausco Modular’s project team worked in conjunction with the college’s own contractors to coordinate services and swiftly address any challenges to meet the 12-week deadline.
Ausco’s scope of work included a new building to integrate aesthetically within the existing college outlook; a fully equipped science teaching space with preparation and storage area; twin music classrooms with specialist tutorial rooms for individual sessions; soundproofing of music facility; and integrated decking with disability compliant access.
The high quality materials and finish provide a professional and comfortable learning environment with the look and feel of a permanent facility. Ausco Modular received positive feedback from the client and the school community.
