Australian Glass Group (AGG) has invested in a range of initiatives to reduce their carbon footprint during manufacturing.
AGG uses Variable Speed Drives (VSD) on the electric motors of key machinery. VSDs provide energy efficiency by controlling the frequency and voltage output to exactly when it is needed. This minimises energy waste when not in use, increases the efficiency in quality, and also results in the extension of machinery life and the reduction of noise from machinery, supporting broader environmental benefits and workplace safety.
AGG’s sustainable initiatives also include recycling of glass and water, energy efficient LED lighting and the use of solar panels. AGG proudly continues to look at ways to reduce their overall embedded carbon footprint in the production of their glass products.
