Australian Pump Industries recently won a prestigious order for marine pumps in India. The company, who is very export orientated, claims that this is the first major order for marine pumps from the sub continent.
“Our zinc free bronze marine pumps are world class and built to ISO9001 quality standards,” Aussie Pumps Product Manager, John Whiteley says. “The pumps are scrupulously checked and tested before shipment from the factory with many of them going through ‘survey’ prior to shipment.”
The Indian contract called for supply of big 3” Aussie B3XRA self priming centrifugal pumps that can be used for either bilge or fire fighting. The big motor pumps come with both high pressure and high flow capabilities, making them ideal for a multitude or marine applications.
The pump body, impeller and volute are manufactured from top grade zinc free bronze, whilst fasteners, plugs and shafts are manufactured from stainless steel.
The bronze pump offer flows up to 1,750 litres per minute and heads to 35 metres, depending on configuration.
The Aussie B3XRA is available in a series of configurations with varying impellers and horse power requirements. The standard configuration is 5.5HP (4 kilowatt) but the series offers higher performance units of up to 10HP. Flame proof motors are also available on request.
