Now available from Barrington Roof Tiles , the Barrington Slate Tile combines the beauty of natural slate with all the benefits of a fully designed roofing system using modern day technology.
Barrington currently offer two types of tiles; the Slate Shingle, and the Slate Tile. The Slate Shingle slate roofing tile from Barrington weighs just 1.3kgs, measures 500mm x 350mm, and will support 120kgs. The Slate Tile slate roofing tile from Barrington weighs just 800g, measures 300mm x 336 mm, and will support up to 120 kgs. Both these roofing tiles are safe to walk on and easy to handle.
To help reduce the roof weight, these roofing tiles use an interlocking design and moulded water channels. These features help ensure that the Barrington Slate will never leak or distort when correctly installed.
Manufactured from Torbex and tested by the CSIRO to Australian Building Standards (AS 4046–1992), Barrington Slate roofing tiles are UV resistant, and extremely strong. The CSIRO also conducted extensive environmental and performance testing on these roofing tiles, which is supported by their CSIRO Technical Assessment 279.
