A curved glass solution manufactured by Bent and Curved Glass for a new
residence in South Australia has met the client’s aesthetic and thermal
performance objectives.
While Bent and Curved Glass manufactured the curved double glazed units,
the frames were fabricated by A Division of Space with installation by Mt
Barker Glass. The project site was a newly completed residence on Hindmarsh
Island on Victor Harbour, south of Adelaide.
The double glazed units combine grey tinted and clear toughened curved
glass and have been used to maximise the U Value and SHGC (solar heat gain
coefficient) performance of the feature entry window and doors without
compromising the curved aesthetic desired by the designers of the new
residence.
Based in south west Sydney, Bent and Curved Glass (BCG) provides locally
manufactured glass solutions for all types of residential and commercial projects
across Australia. BCG’s experienced staff work throughout Australia
coordinating with architects, engineers, builders and contractors at all stages
of the design and construction process to ensure the best glass solutions are
achieved within budget and on time.
