Bent and Curved Glass supplied the curved glass elements for the Frank Gehry-designed Dr Chau Chak Wing Building in central Sydney.
Bent and Curved Glass contributed to the success of the iconic building in partnership with Lend Lease and Foxville Interiors BCG, manufacturing the curved glass elements that form the meeting room pods and dividing screens in the collaborative learning centre on level 7 of this highly acclaimed and recognised building.
Representing a key element in this multi-purpose and interactive area, the pods facilitate engagement as well as formal and informal communication to enhance the ‘cross-pollination of ideas among and between disciplines, researchers, industry and practitioners’.
Large format curved glass bi-sliding doors welcome visitors to the area and provide effective acoustic privacy when closed, all the while maintaining visual connection to adjoining areas to enhance the dynamism and sense of industry within the overall space.
The experienced staff at Bent and Curved Glass work with architects, designers and glazing contractors at all stages of the building process to create viable, cost-effective and beautiful curved glass solutions.
