Security entrances and architectural revolving doors specialist Boon Edam has announced a significant upgrade to their Winglock Swing access gates to deliver more innovative functions and features.
The Winglock Swing is Boon Edam’s slimmest access gate, and the upgrade commits to delivering a safer, more diverse, wide-lane entrance solution without compromising on any aesthetics.

As buildings get larger, with a higher throughput of visitors, traffic flow management becomes more of an issue. The Winglock Swing access gate is the ideal secure entrance companion for safe entry requiring a wide opening, such as large objects or group passage. Constructed from high quality stainless steel and a single glass panel, the original Winglock Swing is elegant, easy to use and discreet in nature and design. This latest upgrade offers even more on top of the classic option.

Synchronised safety to support EN17352 compliance
The improved Winglock Swing now has a unique synchronised movement in the glass panels, operated by software. Boon Edam ensures that one panel is closed before the other reaches the closed position. This smoothly timed motion avoids pinching and allows the block detection to function as a standard door leaf.
In addition to the above upgrade, the speed curve of the Winglock Swing has been adjusted to ensure an impact force below 400N. Both new functions are prescribed by the EN17352 safety standard to ensure the safest passage for all users.
Tall and wide
Customers are now able to order a side gate with tall glass panels (up to 1800mm in height) or as a double glass configuration (up to 1400mm in passage width). It is important to remember that a tall glass version must also be configured as a double version to limit the impact forces, ensuring safety standards remain high. These options allow for perfect coordination with Lifeline Speedlane speed gates specified with taller or wider glass panels – providing a continuous premium minimalist look for the entire entry solution.
