Orbit TriSens, an innovative revolving-sliding door from Royal Boon Edam International B.V., has won three of the most prestigious product design and innovation awards for 2023.
With the coveted Red Dot, IF Award (Gold in the category Building Technology, and German Design Award 2023 (Excellent Product Design), Royal Boon Edam – a global leader in security entrances and architectural revolving doors – has cemented its position as an industry leader in cutting-edge product design and technology.
Designed for sustainability, accessibility, and safety, the Orbit TriSens revolving-sliding door has been recognised for its exceptional design, energy efficiency and innovative features. Collaborating with leading Dutch designers
The Orbit TriSens was made possible by the expertise of Fabian van den Brand Design and Bas Bruining from VanBerlo, two leading Dutch designers. Their collaboration with Boon Edam resulted in a product that embodies the company's commitment to sustainability, accessibility, safety, sleek design and cutting-edge technology.
"The Orbit TriSens is an ingenious and futuristic solution to the problem of ensuring access to facilities that experience heavy human traffic and must also accommodate people with disabilities, deliveries, and large objects such as hospital trollies," according to the IF Awards jury statement.
Boon Edam celebrates its 150-year legacy of engineering and design excellence, making these awards timely and significant. With this recognition, Boon Edam continues to set new standards for the industry and pave the way for innovation and product design in the years to come.
