Leading Australian LED lighting company Brightgreen announces that it has achieved B Corp Certification. The certification reinforces the company’s mission to provide sustainable, Tru-Colour LEDs that enhance the way people experience the environment around them.
Founder and CEO, David O’ Driscoll explains that Brightgreen has always been at the forefront of sustainable design and responsible manufacturing processes.
The B Corp Certification not only reaffirms the company’s position as a leader in corporate responsibility, but also includes a legally contracted pledge on behalf of Brightgreen to meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
The certification follows a rigorous evaluation process, ensuring that Brightgreen meets high performance standards in every aspect of business, and is committed to the wellbeing of all stakeholders including employees, suppliers, customers, the community and the environment.
According to O’ Driscoll, the assessment process to become a B Corporation helped the company realise what they were doing right as well as identify the areas for improvement. He adds that Brightgreen has identified the potential to become carbon neutral on both the business and product level by the end of the year, with some of their new products set to be carbon positive.
