Brintons Carpets supplied about 5000 square metres of a bespoke Axminster
carpet design to the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, India.
Formerly known as the Bangalore International Airport, the Kempegowda
International Airport, which opened in 2008, is the third busiest airport in
India after Delhi and Mumbai. The terminal building is designed to accommodate
5,400 passengers at peak hours.
Incorporating a passenger-friendly design, the
airport features Brintons’ bespoke Axminster carpets in the walkways, prayer
rooms and ramp corridors. Installed in 2012, the 1228MA Axminster carpet design
is based on traditional bright Indian Rangoli patterns.
