Britex supplied a range of stainless steel fixtures for the commercial kitchen at St Andrew’s Uniting Church in Box Hill, VIC.
Britex was engaged by the builder May Constructions during the $40 million redevelopment of the church. The project was commissioned jointly by the St Andrew’s congregation and the Hanbit Korean congregation to ensure the church was well maintained, accessible and suitable for community needs well into the future.
Britex’s scope of engagement was primarily in the commercial kitchen, which was designed to serve the needs of the community in food preparation, service and storage. Britex was responsible for generating shop drawings, consulting in fixture design, project management and co-ordinating the fabrication and installation of fixtures.
Stainless steel fixtures supplied for this project included a specially designed benchtop incorporating double bin chutes with matching stainless steel lids that sit flush with the bench; fire rated wall cladding to meet commercial kitchen regulations; stainless steel wall panels for easy cleaning and maintenance; dishwasher inlet and outlet benchtops; and custom stainless steel benchtops.
