Carter Holt Harvey have released their new 6.3 mm Customwood MDF fire retardant wood panel which now complies with the Building Code of Australia’s C1.10 Group 1 Classification for wall and ceiling lining materials as tested in accordance with AS/NZS 3837.
The Group 1 rating gives architects, building designers and builders the flexibility to specify and use Customwood FR in all wall and lining materials, including public corridors and fire-isolated exits. Other Customwood MDF products typically only meet the Group 3 classification. Customwood FR was developed in response to the 2006 BCA Specification 1.10 changes.
Customwood is one of the most versatile and easy-to-use Medium Density Fibreboards (MDF) available. Its quality guarantees uniformity in size, colour, density and strength. These unique characteristics also make Customwood ideal for any number of interior applications including cabinet making, shop fitting, furniture and general interior applications.
Customwood cuts, drills and routs cleanly without splintering or chipping when compared to timber or other types of wood panel products. It's also free of any knots and grain, making finishing easier and less time-consuming.
Available now in a standard size of 2464 mm x 1245 mm x 6.3 mm sheets. A Material Safety Data Sheet is also available on request.
