A two-tone timber panelling product from Cedar Sales was specified for Cube Hotel, a modern restaurant and bar in Toowoomba.
Converted from a former club, the Cube Hotel needed just the right architectural ceiling lining to introduce a contemporary, warm atmosphere with minimal effort. The hotel’s owners sought a smarter alternative to traditional flat panelling to create a sophisticated venue. A prefabricated product that did not require painting was also part of the specification to simplify installation.
Screenclad Mocha Two-Tone timber panels featuring the warmth and strength of Western Red Cedar met the client’s brief. The panelling was chosen in a 26mm size to create a deep shadow effect and set the scene for a stylish fit-out. Architects Self-Acting worked with builder/installer Blades Joinery & Construction on the project.
In addition to Screenclad Mocha Two-Tone 81 x 26 (SCEMTT81X26), Cedar Sales’ straight panel 162×17 (SPM162x17) was also used in the application.
