BareStone commercial facade from Cemintel Fibre Cement Systems was recently specified by Architectus to be used as the main cladding material for the University of Western Sydney Student Housing Project.
BareStone is supplied as pre-finished panels that offer a striking raw cement-like look and are easy and quick to install. If desired, the facade panels can be painted to complement specific decor.
In the Student Housing Project BareStone commercial facade was used to create a reverse masonry veneer construction in which the compressed fibre cement protects the thermal mass of walls. This has a considerable effect on indoor temperatures and comfort levels all year round.
BareStone works by using 9mm compressed fibre cement and includes the ExpressWall fixing system. Additionally, it is also water resistant thanks to the CeminSeal water blocking technology used.
BareStone can be installed as part of the ExpressWall Installation system incorporating top hats.
BareStone has been tested to AS4284 and uses 1.15BMT galvanised top hats and exposed head fasteners S/S or class 3.
