Cemintel announces the launch of four new cladding products representing the next generation of lightweight building materials.
Featuring unique textures and finishes, enhanced installation options and next generation robust technology, Cemintel’s new range includes two new creative external cladding panel systems (SimpleLine Cladding and Creative Facade Panels), a new exterior and interior cladding system (Designer Series Jagged Ash), as well as a unique fibre cement solution for interior walls (BareStone Interior).
Cemintel Marketing Manager Ben Thompson explained that the new products build on the striking design styles and easy installation processes preferred by customers and builders. These cladding products incorporate new features such as stain resistant technology, and enhanced weather protection to improve everyday product performance.
Designed for both commercial and residential applications, Cemintel’s new products will help builders, architects, contractors and designers meet the diverse demands of their clients.
Residential design
Cemintel’s newest product in the Designer Series range, Jagged Ash is a natural looking pre-finished panel providing a raw authentic look that facilitates the industrial design trend, which is increasingly visible in both residential and commercial projects.
For homeowners looking to achieve a classic monolithic look, Cemintel has introduced SimpleLine external cladding, an efficient and cost-effective solution to render, and featuring a shiplap joint, which creates a subtle, shadowline effect for a sleek finish.
According to Mr Thompson, the rendered look is a popular aesthetic, but is time consuming and costly to achieve as it requires a skilled plasterer. SimpleLine cladding sheets can be gun-nailed allowing simple installation, and come pre-sealed making the panel easy to coat with a standard or textured paint for a much simpler way to achieve a rendered appearance.
Commercial design
Cemintel’s popular cladding solution, BareStone has been optimised for internal applications through the development of four new installation methods while providing builders with more design options. Ideal for venues that undergo regular design changes such as retail and office spaces, the new BareStone Interior panels feature simple components and construction techniques to ensure quick assembly or removal.
Cemintel’s CeminSeal technology provides stain resistance for the new BareStone Interior panels, allowing the pre-finished panel to maintain its natural, raw cement appearance while reducing the degree of absorption of stains or contaminants.
Cemintel’s newly introduced Creative Facade Panels are available in three textures in a wide range of colours and feature a ‘colour through’ technology, which creates a consistent colour right through the material. The panels also boast a premium protective coating that eliminates the requirement for painting or finishing onsite. Creative Facade Panels are manufactured with pure acrylic binders to reduce weathering. A coating incorporating UV resistant pigments also minimises sun damage to the panels.
Mr Thompson says the new Creative Facade Panels meet the needs of customers looking for a more natural and robust finish to aluminium composite panels. The UV protection ensures the panels enjoy a longer lifespan. Manufactured from air cured fibre cement to provide a durable finish, the product is suitable for applications requiring a non-combustible solution, which assures further peace of mind to the designer and the homeowner.
