The Platinum 90 partitioning suite from Criterion Industries was selected for a recent fitout project at the office of Beulah International, a prestigious property development firm located in Collins Street, Melbourne.
Designed and delivered by Kovstruct, Beulah’s office fitout featured elements from the latest creative workplace designs, with the plan embracing collaborative work areas, break-out rooms for private meetings and executive office suites. Kovstruct provided an end-to-end solution for this project encompassing consultation, project briefing and design, right through to completion.
Kovstruct’s Managing Director James Kovacevic explained that the Platinum 90 partitioning suite was selected because it was able to deliver the desired aesthetic cost-effectively in comparison with the steel design specified by the client. The steel system proved to be an inappropriate design solution due to the necessity of prefabrication offsite and a lengthy delivery time of 12 weeks.
The Platinum suite certainly ticked all the boxes for ease of construction, and an order to delivery time of 5 days.
According to James, their design used aluminium frames and flat bars, allowing them to install full height glazed panels, without having to measure/supply/install individual 1200x600mm glazed sections. They were able to reduce the cost without compromising on the design or aesthetic.
By using Criterion’s Platinum 90 front glazed suite with flat bars, Kovstruct was able to deliver a visually appealing partitioning design to the client.
Criterion’s Design Manager James Shirreff added that they were very impressed with the final outcome of the fitout project, especially the way Kovstruct was able to provide a solution to match the client’s vision.
