Fairfield RSL Club has been crafted into an urban oasis, evoking a sense of wonder that draws visitors from far and wide.
Designed by Altis Architecture and built by Global Projects NSW, the impressive venue has undergone a refurbishment due to an existing water-damaged ceiling.
DecorSlat AliSorb was installed by Epic Interiors due to its superior moisture resistance, durability, modular panel standardisation, excellent acoustic performance, and aesthetic appeal.
One of the biggest challenges facing the project was the presence of pre-existing skylights and ceilings, which contained non-standard ceiling perimeters. This meant, that the creation of shop drawings and customised panels would be almost impossible to get right.
Utilising Decor Systems' full standard 2400mm x 1200mm panels to be trimmed on-site, the team was able to streamline the manufacturing process and facilitate faster installation times. This approach also gave the installers flexibility to adjust sections and replace panels as needed, allowing the club to remain fully operational.
With the aid of DecorSlat AliSorb in the ceiling, the Club was able to include indoor water features into its stunning design. This unique feature sets the venue apart from others in the area, creating a tranquil, resort-style atmosphere in the middle of Western Sydney.
