Several products from Decor Systems were selected during the refurbishment of Skye Primary School in Victoria to meet both design and functional goals.
Designed by AOA Christopher Peck, the refurbishment featured multiple Decor Systems products including Cewood, DecorSlat, DecorZen, DecorStyle and DecorArti in the administration block and school gym.
The school emblem was made using painted Dulux and Tasmanian Smartlook finished DecorStyle acoustic panels, precisely cut and assembled in Decor Systems' Sydney warehouse for easy on-site installation.
Cewood lines the large walls in the gymnasium, standing out as a significant feature with its natural wood wool colour complementing the timber finishes, and providing a textured contrast. Being non-combustible and with a high NRC rating, Cewood is an ideal choice for education design projects.
In the administration block, DecorSlat was employed to separate various offices subtly, creating a pleasant and productive atmosphere with warm timber and well-placed lighting.
