The Opera range of awnings fabric available from Dickson is 100% solution dyed acrylic featuring Cleangard special dirt-resistant and water repellent treatment. The Cleangard treatment will also help to minimise the risk of sagging and soiling.
The acrylic fabric awning will block up to 95% of glare and heat while the Sunacryl solution-dyed acrylic fibre protects the fabric colour with a UV resistance coefficient: 7/8 out of 8.
The colour of the awning fabric will determine the atmospheric brightness and the perception of the area it is shading. White will accentuate the light, enlarging the space, while a warmer atmosphere can be created by using reds and oranges. Blues and greens can offer a soothing and relaxed area.
The lighter the colour the more warmth will permeate, the darker the colour, the more sunlight is filtered and the area will remain cooler. Colour will also affect UV protection, with dark colours stopping both UVA and UVB rays and light colours providing the protection of factor 50 sun cream.

This awning fabric is ideal for all types of awnings, however, they are not recommended for fixed installations or for long span awnings.
