According to Stuart Anderson, Dry-Treat MD and chief chemical engineer, META-CRÈME was developed to create a product that would meet the environmental standards of the future in addition to improving their deep penetrating, permanent bonding technology.
META CRÈME was recently specified for the Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex in Melbourne, Australia.
Located on the south bank of the Yarra River, the 510,000m² Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex is one of the largest in the world. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except on Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day, the casino attracts a large amount of traffic.
A major part of the casino consists of sophisticated resin tile surfaces containing quartz particles.
Key requirements for the sealer included:
- Super oil and water repellency for superior stain protection
- Longevity with capacity to withstand use of strong alkaline cleaners and machine scrubbers
- Maintenance of the slip resistance of the already smooth surfaces
META CRÈME impregnating sealer met all these requirements and was successfully used on the casino’s resin tile surfaces.
