The management at The O2, an entertainment district in Greenwich, London, is in the process of replacing the existing warm air hand dryers in their washrooms with Airblade technology from Dyson.
Home to the world's busiest arena, The O2 draws over two million visitors every year. Lee Lacey, Head of Building Services at The O2 said they have already replaced 59 warm air hand dryers with Airblade technology and will be replacing an additional 54 units.
The existing 2.3kW warm air hand dryers at The O2 were simply too slow and used too much energy for a venue of their size and footfall, explained Lee.
By replacing their hand dryers with Dyson Airblade dB hand dryers, The O2 has been able to ensure excellent performance, reduce energy costs and lower noise levels. According to Lee, the sleek design and performance of Dyson’s hand dryers along with the reduced noise levels made their decision very easy.
The fastest hand dryers
Dyson Airblade dB hand dryers deliver 430mph sheets of air to scrape water from hands, drying them hygienically in just 10 seconds.
Energy savings
Slow hand dryers consume more energy as they take more time to dry hands. Dyson Airblade hand dryers cost up to 69% less to run than other hand dryers.
Low noise operation
The Dyson Airblade dB hand dryer is 50% quieter than the original Dyson Airblade hand dryer, but dries hands just as quickly.
