Parramatta Council’s $135 million civic hub, PHIVE is located in the heart of the Parramatta CBD. The impressive Civic Centre at 5 Parramatta Square is the state’s most sustainable government building with its design focussed on environmental performance and achieving low reliance on heating and cooling through sustainable design principles.
EBSA was engaged to integrate their energy-efficient Schneider BT90 thermally broken double-glazed louvres into the building facade along with a digital CPS-M natural ventilation controller to interface with the BMCS. In conjunction with the thermal chimneys, the operable louvres will be an effective means of improving air quality, in particular, the removal of aerosol particles that can transmit COVID 19.
EBSA has a range of air quality sensors that can be retrofitted to existing projects and work in conjunction with new or existing automated facade systems to provide the same benefit to classrooms and workplaces alike.
