EBSA Pty Ltd was awarded a Highly Commended in the Bespoke Window/Glass Project (over $10,000) Category for The Hedberg project at the 2021 AGWA Design Awards.
The Hedberg: University of Tasmania
Located in the heart of Hobart, The Hedberg is an immersive multi-venue performing, cultural and creative arts complex. EBSA was thrilled to be involved with this exceptional project, showing their commitment to quality and innovation through the world’s first application of a triangle-shaped flat roof LF550 frameless glass louvre system.
The LF550 was seamlessly integrated into the building envelope whilst overcoming technical complexities associated with a horizontal installation incorporating a cantilevered triangular design and the need to achieve the required geometric free area for natural ventilation and smoke relief. The brief was met with the LF550 frameless glass louvres achieving the appearance of fixed overhead glazing when not in use.
Project Features:
- 1x LF550 (6656mm x 4700mm x 4700mm)
- 4 operable and 1 fixed glass blades (17.52mm)
- Opening to 85 degrees
- 1 x RZN panel for smoke relief and natural ventilation
