EnduroShield ultra thin transparent protective coating was chosen for application on the glass façade of the 262m Infinity Tower in Brisbane, Australia.
A project by Karimbla Constructions (a division of Mertion Apartments), Infinity Tower will contain 81 levels of residential and serviced apartments and is due for completion in 2014.
EnduroShield was chosen to protect the 20,800m² glass facade surface during the construction process against staining and etching from exposure to cement slurry, dirt and grime.
EnduroShield was selected for the application due to the company’s high level of technical knowledge, experience and training.
Following the implementation of a quality assurance procedure, which included training and consultation at the glass curtain wall factory, the application of EnduroShield glass coating is underway with the certified factory now authorised to provide the EnduroShield 10-year warranty.
Once the coated glass curtain is installed onsite, the EnduroShield coating will protect against harsh conditions during construction such as splatter and run-off from concrete and cement, which if allowed to remain on the glass can lead to etching and pitting, necessitating costly replacement of the glass.
On completion of the project, the EnduroShield protective coating will allow the glass to be easily cleaned, reducing the chances of scratching, which may occur when cleaning contractors use sharp implements on untreated glass to remove stubborn concrete and debris.
Developed using cutting edge nanotechnology, EnduroShield is the smart choice for exterior glass surfaces providing a permanent, ultra-thin, transparent coating that completely adheres to the surface. The coating reduces the frequency as well as the time spent cleaning.
