Era Polymers has recently introduced Erabond Concrete, a newly formulated, fast cure, solvent based primer for concrete. This fast drying product reduces the amount of time that the primed surface is exposed, decreasing the risk of contamination settling on the surface.
Erabond Concrete solvent based primer offers the following advantages over traditional water based epoxy technology:
- Single component – eliminates the need to mix two components together at the exact mixing ratio
- Fast drying – averages 1.5 – 2 hours at 25°C
- Low viscosity - aids penetration of the concrete
- Excellent bond strength to the concrete and spray elastomer (polyurethane/polyurea) top coats
- Dries to hard film - resists outgassing from the concrete preventing blister formation in the top coat
