The Moore College Resource and Research Centre project in Newtown, NSW officially opened in February 2017. Designed by Allen Jack + Cottier Architects, the college houses the Moore College Library, the largest theological library in the Southern Hemisphere.
Builder Kane Constructions recently received the 2017 Master Builders Association of New South Wales Award for Excellence in Construction of Tertiary Buildings $30M - $40M for their work on the Moore College project.
Spread over 7,800 square metres of built-up space, the college also features 2000 square metres of Vitracore G2 cladding from Fairview on the facade of the building.
Installed by BJL Roofing & Facades, Vitracore G2 cladding panels in ‘Sparkling Dark Grey Metallic’ and the custom ‘Titanium Silver’ colours accentuate the glass façade of the development’s corner block.
Proven to be highly effective in infrastructure projects such as schools, Vitracore G2’s Deemed-to-Satisfy non-combustible cladding panels successfully passed the official full-scale facade test requirements of BS8414 and BRE 135, the current, globally recognised standard for full-scale cladding facade tests in Australia.
Brendon Lentholm – BJL Roofing:
“The double nose cones on this project required our experienced team to machine and prepare all of the panels to perfection. The end result is a thing of beauty that we are proud to have delivered to our customer on time and within budget.”
