Flotex, a textile flooring product from Forbo Flooring was specified for the indoor court area at a Western Australia Government Primary School.
Designed by DWA Architects, the indoor court features a floor plan that aims to facilitate, aid, and motivate the student learning process, acknowledging that learning can occur anywhere and at any time. Therefore, an environment was created where learning opportunities could be varied and purposeful without compromising student safety.
Forbo’s Flotex flocked flooring was chosen for the school's indoor court area due to its unique construction; it is a textile floor that offers resilient performance, making it extremely hardwearing for intense use. Additionally, it is allergy- and asthma-friendly, and slip-resistant when both dry and wet.
Future rollouts of new government primary schools will include Flotex for indoor court areas.
The hand-cut court areas outlined on the floor were installed by the highly skilled Flotex installers from Carpets Online.
Flotex colour tiles in Metro Petrol, Metro Red, Metro Jade, Metro Lagoon and Metro Gull were used in the installation.
