Because of the high quality of entries, two winners were announced in the Forbo Fly Free to Europe award, held in conjunction with the Interior Design Awards of Australia. They were John Wardle Architects of Melbourne for the use of Marmoleum as a modern and eco-sustainable flooring option in the ISPT corporate interior, and McFadyen Architects of Balmain, NSW for the Badajoz Aged Care Facility in North Ryde where STEP, Smaragd and Onyx was used.
“We were delighted with the interesting and innovative ways that Marmoleum and our other flooring and wall covering products were used in across the variety of projects represented in entries,” says Angus Fotheringhame, managing director of Forbo Flooring. “So much so, we decided to provide two prizes.”
Winners from each practice will visit Forbo’s Design Studio in Amsterdam and 100% Design in London.
