Two Forbo Flooring products have once again been independently certified as meeting the requirements of the new Good Environmental Choice (GECA) standard GECA 25-2011-Floor Coverings.
Forbo Marmoleum and Artoleum were the first flooring products to be granted a Good Environmental Choice label under GECA’s inaugural standards.
Forbo Marmoleum flooring incorporates 100 per cent bio-based content and carries more third-party, independent, LCA based environmental certifications than any other flooring material. It has a 100-year plus track record of performance and durability, and sets a benchmark unmatched in the resilient flooring industry.
Key benefits of Forbo Marmoleum floors also include permanent, natural properties to kill MRSA and Norovirus; naturally anti-static; R10 slip rated safety assurance; no sealing required with Topshield finish; easy low cost maintenance; and ISO 14001:2004 certification.
GECA is a not-for-profit, membership-based organisation established to recognise and promote environmental excellence in goods and services in Australia. Recognised by the Green Building Council of Australia, it is also the Australian member of the Global Eco-labelling Network (GEN). GEN is an international network of national eco-labelling programs operating under ISO 14024.
