Custom rod downlights from Gineico Lighting helped transform a bier stein chandelier into an eye-catching sculpture without glare at the Bavarian Bier Cafe in Central Sydney.
Part of a chain of venues that quickly popped up all over Sydney, the Bavarian Bier Cafe on York Street was designed by the Dreamtime Australia design team who did an excellent job converting one of Sydney’s most elegant rooms into a fun after-work venue.
A standout feature at each of these venues is the bier stein chandelier located over the bar. To achieve the design objective of creating an eye-catching light shattering sculpture without glare, custom rod downlights from Gineico Lighting were used. Combined with the high output LED strip lights and inground uplights, the lighting selection created a truly beautiful space.
The Central Sydney Bavarian Bier Cafe was a precursor to other venues that followed in O’Connell Street and on Sydney’s Iconic Manly Wharf where Gineico Lighting was again used.
