Columba Select Chevron flooring from Havwoods was selected by the designer during the renovation of an office in Liverpool, UK.
Looking for a presence in the north of the UK, international law firm Taylor Wessing chose Edwardian Pavilion, a Grade I Listed Building on Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock as their new office.
With a brief for the office renovation to create a more open feel across the workplace, designer Kin chose Havwoods’ Columba Select Chevron flooring from The Italian Collection for its striking and flowing pattern. Made from European oak, the board not only offers a modern finish but also delivers natural character from the timber’s organic textures.
The colours and materials throughout the office were carefully picked out to complement and bring balance to the existing building. The Columba chevron flooring beautifully softens the interior, sitting exceptionally against the monolithic black stained oak elements of the joinery.
Biophilic design was also cleverly incorporated, and the use of tropical palms and hanging plants showcases a sense of calm, delivering a space that is welcoming and familiar. This project utilised a select grade of Columba chevron timber flooring.
