The deep, rich timber tones of Havwoods Notte timber flooring in the classic herringbone pattern combine with brushed brass fittings, warm grey tones and hints of indigo, textural fabrics, metallics and marble to deliver an elevated, sophisticated and luxurious living experience at the Buildcraft display home in Bella Vista, NSW.
The brief for the new Buildcraft display home sought an architectural fusion between mid-century modern and Deco influences to deliver a stylish, contemporary residence. To further enhance the architectural design, the team set out to source elegant, high-end materials, fittings and finishes that would achieve a rich, deep and moody palette.
The finishes were to include a mix of natural materials, low in chroma and colour for all fixed flooring, joinery and finishes, but visually interesting by being high in contrast and texture.
Featured throughout the various sections of the home, marble-inspired large format polished porcelain tiles and plush loop pile carpets were complemented by the warmth of a natural timber floor. Havwoods HW16007 Notte herringbone timber flooring is an important foundation to the design, making the home feel warm and welcoming whilst providing a luxurious living experience.
"The tonal depth of this natural timber flooring was an important element in this home as I also included a dark timber wood matt finish in the kitchen and Walk in Pantry joinery. After experimenting with various timber options, and multiple meetings with Buildcraft, we decided upon the deep warm tones found in Havwoods' Notte as the right choice,” said the interior designer, James Treble.
To further elevate the design, Notte in its timeless herringbone pattern was selected, delivering an understated texture and visual interest.
"Notte herringbone provided the perfect textural solution while beautifully complementing the rest of the finishes. Resulting in a stylish statement flooring finish that still feels warm and welcoming," Treble added.
