Client collaboration spaces designed by Australian interior architects Futurespace for Pricewaterhouse Cooper (PwC) at their Barangaroo, Sydney office feature engineered timber planks from Havwoods.
PwC’s design brief for their Client Experience Floors was to create spaces that combined the very best ‘out of industry’ experiences for their clients by blending hospitality, retail, technology and airline club lounge spaces.
The office featured lozenge shaped floor plates with the perimeter glazing providing exceptional views. The designers chose the materials and colour palette based on the layout and view; openness and informality played a major role in the design while curved forms reflected the floor plan.
Futurespace once again chose to partner with Havwoods, based on their previous design collaborations. Havwoods’ HW961 Oak Amendo, an engineered timber flooring product from the Venture Plank Range was selected for its warm tone and beautiful grain and installed as planks as well as in a custom Chevron pattern. The hardwood timber flooring was also used as cladding in the project.
Gavin Harris, Design Director, Futurespace:
“The product was a great addition that tied the overall feel of the space together really well through warmth, texture, and colour.”
