The form, motion and aerodynamic nature of the Sycamore ceiling fan has been inspired by the falling of a Sycamore pod. Hunter Pacific hoped to achieve an elegant, yet functional ceiling fan and in doing so, was awarded the 2005 Australian Design Award. The dynamically shaped single plastic blade improves airflow at low speeds and reduces noise.
The Sycamore is not light adaptable, however there is an extension kit available. The wall switch is designed to fit most Australian wall plates. An accessories kit has been designed to solve difficult installation problems such as low ceilings, and includes a remote, 26 millimetre down rods, a T-hook, 45 degree ceiling canopy kits, and 22 degree suspension kits.
The Sycamore fan is 1370 millimetres in length and can be finished in a range of colours to match the motor housing. The motor is long lasting because it maintains a cool operational temperature through minimal movement. The motor housing is made from die cast aluminium which prevents corrosion and most material degradation.
