Last year, HVG Facades recycled over 74,000 kilograms of combustible cladding waste through its EnviroSmart program.
To help break that figure down, the benefit of replacing and recycling that level of combustible cladding is comparable to removing 129 cars from roads and saving the equivalent energy that would power 371 households per year.
In addition, HVG Facades’ EnviroSmart program saw a large water-saving outcome – equating to approximately two Olympic-size swimming pools. The recycling program also saved space in landfill, comparable to over 3600 wheelie bins.

It’s for these reasons that approximately 75 percent of the aluminium ever produced is still in use today!
Sustainable management and recycling program targeting zero carbon footprint

EnviroSmart guarantees that 100% of non-compliant ACP cladding material will be diverted from landfill. Our solution will ensure that the aluminium and PE core from these panels are recycled right here in Australia. We will help to stimulate a circular economy that will continue to move away from singular-use products by feeding recyclables back into the manufacturing stage to be reused and recycled again. Our aim is to continue to work with manufacturers to determine where the recycled product will be repurposed.
