Floor specialist Karndean predicts its latest addition to its range to be one of the most sought after flooring products for 2005.
Available in a choice of six colours – Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, Noir and Java – the Antique Ceramic tiles have been carefully designed to replicate the textured surface and realistic colouring of natural ceramic tiles while avoiding the practical drawbacks, such as cracking and resulting repairing problems.
Ceramic floor tiles are more widely used today than ever before, making Karndean’s new collection the perfect option for a practical alternative.
The Antique Ceramic collection is aims to look and feel just like the real thing. The tile’s textured surface and angled edges make it so realistic and practical that specifiers will never want to go back to using natural ceramics again, Karndean claims.
Natural ceramic tiles are prone to cracking and can be a nightmare to repair. Karndean flooring is extremely hard wearing and unlike natural ceramic tiles, will not crack or develop a dirty grout line.
With the Karndean range, specifiers can mix and match different products to suit their décor, such as adding a wood effect strip between tiles to match furniture.
To complete the look of a natural ceramic floor, the Antique Ceramic collection includes four exclusive border options. The Block border is a slim border and includes angled edges to create a three dimensional look and feel. The Inca border features a Mediterranean look, which is extremely natural and features four of the six Antique Ceramic colours.
The Cube border is modern, yet ornate – having a retro style all of its own. The first of its kind, the Cube border incorporates two Antique Ceramic products in one border. Finally, the Basque border is the ideal border to set the scene for a truly natural looking Antique Ceramic floor. The textured surface and angled edges adds to the realism and individual style of this border.
