Karndean Designflooring has added a new collection of oversized planks recommended for installation in large open plan areas.
Karndean’s American-inspired LooseLay Longboard collection comprises of 59-inch long planks that can be easily installed in large open plan areas to allow for a seamless transition to different rooms. Twelve new designs including four inspired by the American Heart Pines and Walnut woods, form part of the new collection.
Karndean’s LooseLay Longboard range is ideal for transforming an impersonal house into a warm home, thanks to the American wood finishes in the collection that help create an inviting and welcoming space. Reclaimed Heart Pine and Antique Heart Pine boast natural open grains and man-made markings to create a timeless feel and complement vintage or country inspired décor.
The Longboard planks also come in Natural Heart Pine, a rare wood that takes more than 200 years to fully form. These wood effects work well with contrasting darker wood tones, such as on furniture or ceiling beams.
Weathered Heart Pine’s neutral light grey hues present a more contemporary style in flooring, and can be contrasted with pops of rich colour and mixed textiles.
The real walnut has a deep, rich colour that makes it a desirable choice but it’s too soft to be used in flooring. Karndean offers Character Walnut as an alternative that combines the authentic walnut look with more practical properties. While the deep tones will instantly add warmth to the space, the floors are waterproof and perfect for homes with children and pets.
