Sayfa Group worked with leading Australian livestock feeds producer Ridley Corporation to provide a custom solution for their grain silos, ensuring safe access and egress to their personnel.
Ridley began construction in 2019 on a new facility in Bendigo to supply the expanding markets in Central and Northern Victoria.
“This state-of-the-art facility will enable us to support the continued growth of poultry and pig producers in the region, and will help us realise manufacturing and logistics efficiencies,” Ridley managing director and chief executive officer Tim Hart said.
The grain silos at the facility required egress to enable personnel to access the large structures with safety and confidence.
Sayfa worked closely with engineers from LGPM to design a system that was fully modular and would attach to the silos without compromising their integrity. Initial drawings were created using the KOMBI Builda and after several revisions, the concept of marrying both KOMBI modular platforms and KATT modular rung ladders was visualised, providing the perfect design solution for the Ridley facility.
Being fully modular systems, KOMBI platforms and KATT rung ladders were delivered in kit form ready for assembly onsite. With no requirement for hot works, LPGM was able to carry out a quick and easy installation.
Both KOMBI and KATT systems are manufactured from lightweight robust aluminium, requiring minimal maintenance despite their high exposure to the elements. KOMBI platforms and stairs are adjustable onsite without specialist tools, enabling modifications in situ.
Ridley now operates out of the brand new $47M facility in Bendigo with improved efficiency, quality and safety.
