Equipment hire company, Kennards Hire recently supplied a new K9-2 Dingo mini loader for a building site where access was extremely limited.
The slab of a two-storey house was 15 metres below road level and a 1.1 metre wide cavity between it and the rock face had to be cleared to enable waterproofing and air flow.
The K9-2 measures just 780mm wide and is the smallest of the Dingo models. The mini loader had no trouble getting into the space to remove the soil and rock that had been broken up with a jackhammer.
Siamak Taheri, Operations Manager said, “It was the right machine for the job.”
Operator of the loading equipment, Henry Bryce, commented that he was surprised how powerful it was considering its size.
“I had to clear a pathway next to the house so I could get into the void and I was moving some pretty big rocks and chunks of concrete around,” he said.
“It’s also very easy to operate and manoeuvre.”
The K9-2 mini loader features a 16HP Vanguard petrol engine, independent wheel drive technology and a two pump hydraulic system to power attachments. Other features include fast ground speed and an exceptional full lift height for loading a ute or skip bin.
Attachments such as buckets, trenchers and postholes are also available from Kennards Hire.
