Equipment hire specialist Kennards Hire has launched a new online plant
portal designed to enable customers to check the records of every equipment
item in the general and specialist fleets.
The ‘Ready for Hire’ label attached to every equipment item given on
hire includes a unique plant number and a QR code.
The customer can enter the plant number or scan the QR code on a
smartphone to view detailed information about the equipment including full
service history of the equipment item; certificate of test and examination
(where item is required to be tested to AS 1418.2); operator’s manual; risk
assessment; pre-delivery checklist; online operator safety checks; user guide; equipment
video; maintenance schedule; and insurance details.
