Kennards Hire Rail will be a Gold Sponsor at the upcoming 2015 Australasian Rail Industry Awards in Sydney. Additionally, Kennards Hire Rail is sponsoring the Young Rail Professional Award to recognise the rail industry’s brightest emerging talent.
Alex Eisermann, Manager of Kennards Hire Rail commented that the Young Rail Professional Award aims to encourage the next generation of rail industry professionals.
Launched in 2013, Kennards Hire Rail has been providing their customers access to industry-leading equipment and technical expertise. Following substantial investment in staff training and developing a band of ‘Rail Champions’, Kennards Hire Rail has become an industry leader in the dry hire of rail maintenance equipment.
All Kennards Hire Rail staff members have completed a rigorous training program delivered by recognised RTO and equipment manufacturers, and have received appropriate track accreditation and competency based training for all rail equipment within their hire fleet.
According to Alex, Kennards Hire Rail staff is trained at their specialist facility at Rutherford in the NSW Hunter Valley region. The company also operates specialist rail branches in Dubbo, New South Wales; Brendale, Queensland; and Brooklyn, Victoria.
Alex explains that Kennards Hire Rail not only provides customers all over Australia with industry-specific and certified rail track maintenance equipment for hire, but also offers the services of Kennards Hire Rail trainers to train rail maintenance crews and verify them as competent to operate particular rail equipment.
Alex adds that rail contractors who dry hire equipment from Kennards Hire Rail benefit from being able to avoid the large capital outlay needed for new compliant equipment, maintenance and service history for the equipment. Dry hiring equipment also eliminates the ongoing maintenance costs and regular certification inspections that are required every six to 12 months as per RISSB.
Kennards Hire Rail offers a complete range of lifecycle solutions for track maintenance along the rail corridor including customised weld and gang trucks containing a mix of trolleys, rail drills and saws; 70 tonne tensors; Railtech and Thermit weld kits and weld shears; and rail clamps, rail benders, rail head grinders and switch grinders.
The 2015 Australasian Rail Industry Awards will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney’s Circular Quay on July 9, 2015.
